Google Docs

So today in class we learned about Google docs.  This is a very interesting way to share documents with many different people.  But it can also get very confusing.  My group figured out if you are looking at a document and someone is editing something on that same document you can see what they are editing.  Also there is a colum off to the side you can talk to the other Colaborators and you can maybe talk to them and ask them why they decided to change that or different ideas of what to change.  This can be confusing if you do not have the correct email address or if you forget to add something.  Over all this is a new way to share documents instead of having 100 different edited documents.

This is my concept map for individual.  After looking at my other group members there are lots of things that I have not thought of to include.  Our team concept map will have more details than mine alone.

Collaborative Blog

So I did not know how to get the collaborative blog up but I finally figured it out.

Introduction

        Hello, to start off my name is Elizabeth Hackett.  I am a junior at Lock Haven University and I am going to get a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. I want to become a teacher because first off I love to work with children.  I feel as if even on your worst of days if you are around children it makes your day better.  I also would like to be a teacher because I would like to know that I have made an impact in a child's life.
        When it comes to technology I feel very confident when working and creating new things with technology.  During high school I took quite a few technology classes for different things such as a class just focusing on Microsoft Office and all the different parts.  I also was part of the yearbook club which helped me become more advanced with different types of text, picture formats, movies, and much more. 
        I have not taken any on-line courses during college.  I try to stay away from them because I am the type of person that likes to be in class and taking notes.  I feel as if an on-line class would be more of an optional class and I do not think I would do the best to my ability.  Also, I think I would forget about an on-line class because I do not get on-line everyday and if I would not get on-line everyday I would probably miss the assignments. I also do not think I would have taken this class if it was offered on-line.  I feel as if this class is going to be a lot of work and I would get lost very easily.
        One interesting fact about me would be during my senior year of high school my softball team and myself took runner-up in the PIAA softball state championship.
